Careers Events
Dame Kelly Holmes
As part of our careers and aspirations provision, we have been working closely with a group of students from Years 7-10 over the last 6 months with a dedicated mentor - Kelvin Batey from the Dame Kelly Holmes Trust on a program called On Track to Achieve, which is a personal development workshop designed to build confidence as well as create an awareness for the wider community.
As part of the program, our students had to deliver a Social Action Project, and this is when they do something good within our local community. The students decided to plan, organise and run a sports event at Warren Primary, which is a local school.
Our students really excelled themselves and delivered a session to remember. It's been incredible to watch them grow as individuals but also work together as a group and do something positive for other people.
Our students and the young pupils over at Warren Primary are a real credit to their schools!

Nottingham College - What Next Event
The Careers team recently took some Year 10 students to a ‘What Next’ event at Nottingham College City Hub Campus. Students were able to experience a fun day of hands-on taster activities in the Hubs' state-of-the-art facilities, where they could explore their interests and discover their potential through a variety of subject tasters.
The aim was to give our students an experience of what college has to offer and give them the opportunity to chat to curriculum teams about any questions they may have about their next steps Post 16. We had a great day !

NTU Residential
This summer we took nine of our Year 9 students to experience an exciting opportunity to stay overnight at Nottingham Trent University for a two-day residential. This gave them an insight into what University life is like and they we’re able to participate in taster sessions and socialise with other students from other schools.
