Over 65% of students achieved the important benchmark of obtaining at least a grade 4 in English and maths with 45% of students also achieving at least a grade 5 in both vital subjects.
Headteacher Mr Andrew Gilbert said: "This group of students were hard working and committed to their achievement. A huge well done to other Oakwood Academy students who achieved Grade 9s or D*, the highest grades possible placing them in the top 3% of the country within that given subject. This year students achieved a collective 23 top grades across a range of subjects including English, maths, physics, history, PRE, hospitality, PE, health and social care and Polish.
