If this is your first experience of secondary school as a parent, many things will be new to you and whilst there are some similarities with primary school, many things will also be different.

Life at The Oakwood Academy Sadly, due to the current Covid restrictions we are unable to carry out any of the planned activities for this term.
We have missed working with our Year 5 and 6 teachers and students over the last year and hope that in time we can continue to build on the excellent relationships we had established over the last few years. A number of our Year 7 students have worked extremely hard to put together a virtual assembly about their first term at Oakwood in the hope that it will alleviate any fears for Year 5/6 students who are preparing the move to secondary school. We hope that you enjoy watching it as much as our students did making it.
