Why did they want to be a Governor at The Oakwood Academy?

I am very proud to work at The Oakwood Academy. Our Academy is going through a period of very positive change and improvement, and as Governors of The Oakwood Academy, we have a vital role in representing our working community and the community we represent. My particular drive and ambition for our Academy are that results for students continue to improve and that students and parents feel well represented, secure and suitably challenged to succeed.

What specific skills and expertise does this Governor bring to The Oakwood Academy?

Having taught at the school since 2013 I have become a well-established member of both the staff and local community. I have been teaching for nearly 20 years and had middle management roles pastorally and academically for 18 of those years. I have a wide range of experience within teaching and am committed to my roles as a tutor, teacher and managing our team in our Faculty. Working as a Governor for our Academy enhances these roles.
