InclusionThe SEN team take great care to understand the individual needs of each of our students. Our aim is always to provide the right support so that every student can reach his/her full potential. The SEN team provide a variety of interventions to target literacy, reading and numeracy. Our aim is to raise reading, spelling, and numeracy ages to chronological age and above. Tests have proven that by raising levels to above the student’s chronological age, they will have access to the whole curriculum. Parents/carers will have the opportunity to meet with Mrs Holt, Mrs Cumberpatch and their team during termly SEN parents evenings in the school year. If your child/family has support with outside agencies, Mrs Holt and Mrs Cumberpatch will attend meetings and provide information to help your child. A space can also be arranged in school if your child needs to meet with professionals. The SENCo and the SEN team are housed in the Oak block in the Zone. The Zone is an area where SEN students can obtain support during unstructured time.
